Our long awaited 56th pantomime opens this week - Goldilocks and The Three Bears.

The Players’ costume team have certainly pulled out all the stops by creating a wardrobe full of colourful and imaginative outfits for the entire cast of 38.

Technical, lighting, and the back stage teams have had an exceptionally busy week with the installation of panto scenery on Tuesday at The Marina Theatre. Following the programming of lights, technical and dress rehearsals have been held to ensure that that the production is completely stage ready in time for opening night on Saturday (18th January).

With a new and original script the pantomime has a circus theme and features The Three Bears, who as well as eating porridge, will sing and dance too.

A spokesperson for The Lowestoft Players said “We haven’t totted up just how many hours have been put in by Members on and off stage to create this wonderful production, but the result is going to be a truly terrific experience to be enjoyed by our audiences.”

Suitable for all ages, tickets are available from lowestoftpanto.co.uk

All pantomimes have a baddy, for this production the role will be undertaken by Baron Von Whiplash (Ian Bayton)
