Although the weather has been hot and dry of late, we are already thinking ahead to our Winter Pantomime, Goldilocks.
We have been staging pantomimes in the Town for over 50 years, but this will be the first time that the title of Goldilocks has been chosen. A team of talented script writers from the Players are currently putting the finishing touches to a brand new and original script, and the search is now on to find cast members to bring the show to life.
Co-Director, Fay Bishop explained. “We need Goldilocks, humans to play Daddy Bear, Mummy Bear and Baby Bear, a Dame - Betty Big Top, a Silly Billy, A Ringmaster, plus an Adult Company, a Junior Company and many more to play fantastic character roles.”
“Goldilocks will be set at the circus so it would be great if Company Members with any circus skills could come forward! Cast members must be strong singers, good movers and some will need great comedic timing.”
To find out more about these rather unusual roles, prospective cast members are invited to attend an informal Information Night at the Players Theatre on Friday 23rd August from 7.00pm. The Theatre Bar will be open also.
